Since 1991
In 1997 De Zutter introduced a hen directly from Gaby Vandenabeele, Belg. 97/3250521 “Blauw Turbo”. She became the life mate to his foundation grizzle cock H89/2182141, the world famous “Schone Witte Beer”. As can be seen from the pedigree of one of my De Zutter imports off this pair, “Blauw Turbo” was a Gdtr. to the golden thread running through the entire Vandenabeele strain – (the world famous “Kleinen” 3238253/81.)
99% of my current stock-birds have this “Golden Thread” running, in some instance up to 4x in their pedigrees. Three of my foundation/base breeding birds carry this “Golden Thread” and it is my belief that the introduction of these newly imported Vandenabeele birds, when crossed back into the De Zutter family after all these years, will take the “Benn Generation/De Zutter” strain to a much greater level.
